Centrifugal juicers rely upon centrifugal force to extract the liquid from fruits and vegetables that are dropped into the feed chute and then torn up by the many tiny sharp blades at the bottom of the machine’s filter basket. These devices are more effective the faster they spin. The juicers listed below spin at speeds of up to 13,000 RPM which helps to extract maximum juice from the produce used.

In the video below, Keith Hensel and Richard Hoare from Breville talk about their design philosophy of their centrifugal juicers.
The juicing action is provided by the filter basket that sits in the middle of these machines. The motor spins this section at very high speeds. Since there are lots of little teeth at the bottom of this section, anything that you feed into the juicer is soon turned to pulp and the juice extracted.

This style of juicer is best suited to making drinks using hard produce. So ingredients such as apples, beets, carrots, un-ripe pears and so on work well. In addition to this, centrifugal juicers do a good job on pretty much any sorts of fruits except berries and bananas. There are so many different juice recipes that we can make with these machines.
The reason that I still use centrifugal juicers, despite being told that the juice is of a lower nutritional quality is that they are really fast. Do I think that they are better than this style of machine is better than a masticating juicer? Probably not. They are just different. If I could only choose one, I would probably pick the Omega VRT350HD. This looks quite like a centrifugal machine but is actually a masticating model.
When I started out juicing myself, I used a cheap centrifugal juicer and it served me well for years. They really do make it easy to get into improving our health.
