CFII Syllabus

MEMBERSHIP
  1. $35.00 non-refundable, lifetime, renewable application fee.

  2. If rejoining after leaving in good standing, $30.00 is credited to your account after 90 days.

  3. Monthly dues $20.00 less club sponsored subsidy. That's right we pay you to fly!

SUBSIDY

  1. All rental flight time is subsidized by Aces at $2/hr.

  2. Maximum subsidy is 6 hours AT ANY ONE TIME, equal to $12 per month. Previous bills will not be recalculated when larger amount of subsidy hours come in late!

  3. An account is kept for time in excess of 6 hours and will automatically be credited in subsequent months. the current balance is shown as hours remaining.

  4. Member is responsible for submitting ORIGINAL receipt. Photocopy of logbook, not accepted. If FBO gives you carbon copy only, then have secretary sign your copy indicating that it is a customer original. If no customer copy is given, then get itemized list stating that it is customer's only copy. Aircraft owners may submit copy of aircraft tach sheets showing all flights and and highlighting and totaling their own.

  5. If you want the original returned to you, then make a copy of it and send both the original and copy. The manager will keep the copy and return the original to you marked so that it cannot be resubmitted at a later date for additional subsidy.

  6. No refunds given on accumulated subsidy time when leaving.


ACES INVOICES
  1. Credits itemized

    1. Checks (no cash)
    2. Subsidy in dollars and hours--hourly balance shown
    3. Tickets at $8 (Only "Keep this Coupon" is good $8 side)
    4. Other

  2. Debits itemized

    1. Dues are always $20 for coming month.
    2. Late fines are 10 percent if unpaid balance is over $15.
    3. Other
    4. Amounts in < > means opposite of normal, i.e., credit as opposed to debit.

  3. Turn in bill every month with subsidy even if you have credits.

DATES
  1. 1st - receive bill, newsletter, etc. in mail

  2. 8th - General meeting usually at 7:30 PM

  3. 15th - bill payments past due.

  4. 20th approximately, Monday through Friday is week of billing. This third Monday is the deadline for normal processing of applications.

  5. 26th approximately. Monday is board meeting after billing

  6. Send in copies of medicals and new licenses to keep our files current and receive credit for annuals.


PARTICIPATION

  1. General Meetings

    1. Always on 8th of month, so day of week varies
    2. $8 ticket for attending
    3. Door prizes -- "ticket", must be present to win
    4. Movies and speakers (suggestions welcome)
    5. Refreshments free
    6. Picnic in August and party in December
    7. Fly-ins, canoe trips, river rafting, and more -- club sponsored
    8. Be informed: Your opinion and vote at the general meeting carries for the entire club.

  2. Volunteer:

    1. The officers can always use help--the club is what we all make it.
